Rodney C Adams

Rodney C. Adams teamed up with Attorney Wendy R. Morgan, as administrator, in 1986 to assist in creating the Law Firm of Wendy R. Morgan. Rodney still holds that position today.

In his youth, Rodney was involved with Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Explorers and Civil Defense. Upon graduating from Morton West High School in Berwyn, Illinois, his working life started in The United States Army, where he was a member of the Military Police Corp. His posts included Fort Carson Colorado and Augsburg, Germany.

Following his Honorable Discharge, he moved to California, where he attended college. He was then hired by The Internal Revenue Service (Special Procedures Staff) Technical where he worked on a pilot program to see if the US Treasury can use this new thing coming out called the PC.

After assisting in training other agencies how to use a PC, missing Chicago, and wanting to work in private industry, Rodney returned to Chicago and opened Benjamin's Restaurant, Lounge and Catering in Naperville. Shortly after that, he met Wendy Morgan, who was developing her law practice. After starting their family, Rodney sold the restaurant and officially became the Administrator of The Law Firm of Wendy R. Morgan LTD.

In his spare time in the 1990’s, and later as Chairman of the Center for Global Security, Rodney assisted Brigadier General Roland Pritikin (Ret) on research referencing various scenarios, on whether mankind can survive. Rodney is author of the Final Warning and Co-author of Retrospect 2020.

Rodney Adams joined the Rotary Club of Arlington Heights Sunrise in 2004, and served as its President during Rotary Year 2009-10. As the result of a merger, Rodney joined The Rotary Club of Mount Prospect/Prospect Heights, so that his home club would include both his residence and his business. Today, the Rotary Club is called River Cities (Mount Prospect-Des Plaines-Prospect Heights).

Other club offices have included Vice-President, Service Chair, and Membership Chair. He's been recognized by his club as Rotarian of the Year, is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow, Major Donor, a member of the RI-711 Club and District Governor in 2015-16. The expertise he gained with the Treasury Department in data collection has been well utilized by 6440.

Prior to being District Governor, he served three years as an Assistant Governor, and during his three years in that capacity, worked at various times with Schaumburg AM, North Chicago, Lake Forest/Lake Bluff, Mt. Prospect/Prospect Heights, and Arlington Heights Noon.

He has also served Rotary District 6440 as Membership Co-Chair, Membership Chair, Visioning Team Member, District Governor Nominee (DGN), responsible for Youth Services, and Chair of The Membership Task Force. Among his accomplishments are making 6440 the first District to have 100% integration between ClubRunner and R.I., the updating of the District's data bases, and the development of a Youth Service team. Rodney reinstated Friendship Exchanges for our Rotary District. Our First Friendship Exchange was with Rotary District 3272 in Pakistan.
