Katherine C. Adams
Having grown up in this very law firm, Katherine Adams knew from a young age that she wanted to be an Attorney. Throughout her baccalaureate studies, this interest was affirmed and reaffirmed. Over time, it became more and more clear that Family Law is what Katherine was meant to do as Family Law and Elder Law are the fields where she feels can do the most good for people and let her natural talents shine.
Katherine completed her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Iowa in 2008 with a Major in History and a Minor in Religious Studies. While attending St. Thomas University for her Juris Doctor, Katherine also completed a Masters of Science in Marital and Family Therapy and received both post-graduate degrees in 2011.
During her studies at St. Thomas University, Katherine interned for a Family Law Judge in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit's Administrative Office of the Courts, which afforded her invaluable behind the scenes experience and reaffirmed her interest in Family Law. Katherine also interned for a Probate Judge in the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit of Florida, where she discovered her passion for working with Elder Law issues. While completing her Masters degree, Katherine co-facilitated and provided individual therapy for a group of low-income, post-diversion female teens through Girl Power and a group of low-income, Hispanic immigrant families through Families and Schools Together. Katherine's exposure and experience with these groups developed her ability to create problem-solving alternatives in order to achieve optimal resolutions for different individuals and families.
Having grown up in The Law Firm of Wendy R. Morgan and with her solid educational experience, it was natural for Katherine to join the Firm in November 2011 as an Associate Attorney. Katherine is highly organized and a hard working and zealous advocate who is passionate about helping others and using her skills to help good people in some of the hardest times of their lives.
