Sean P. Sullivan
Sean is a true litigator at heart. He has been practicing exclusively in family law and criminal law for the past 5 years. He has handled all manner of family law cases from child support issues and contested custody hearings to divorces. He is also very knowledgeable regarding traffic matters, drug possession, and domestic battery cases.
Sean attended the University of Iowa where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in political science. After clerking for a few years at a fast paced, high stakes civil litigation firm in DuPage County he attended Thomas M. Cooley Law School. While in law school where he participated in mock trial and moot court and earned a certification in litigation.
Sean has extensive experience representing clients in regards to professional licensing issues. After having spent more than a year working for the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Sean is very familiar with their practices and procedures. Sean first worked in the enforcement division for IDFPR. While in the enforcement division he reviewed consumer complaints regarding potential violations by licensees, drafted formal complaints for disciplinary violations by current licensees, participated in settlement conferences and formal disciplinary hearings. Additionally, he served as clerk to an Administrative Law Judge and assisted in several administrative law hearings. Sean then moved into the IDFPR's General Counsel's office and assisted on various departmental administrative matters.
In his spare time Sean enjoys golfing, and spending time with his wife and their adopted dog, Mazie, watching and waiting for his beloved Chicago Cubs to win a world series.
